Today I enjoyed sushi lunch at Sakana Grill in Chinatown with Nicole as my lunch buddy. Before heading back to the office I took a couple of minutes to get this funky shot.

Today Gord, Shelby and I decided to try the newest restaurant in Airdrie - Mr. Mike's Steakhouse.  Although we weren't very optimistic going in we were pleasantly surprised.  The food was decent, the beer was good and the dessert was delicious!

Today I spent few hours at the Calgary Zoo on a Safari Photo Shoot.  I learned that photographing wildlife is VERY difficult.  I did manage to get a couple of good photos and this shot of the little prarie dog is one of my favorites from the day.

Bliss & Co. is a new cupcake shop that has opened up in Chinatown. Shelby, Gord and I shared 3 cupcakes for dessert tonight.  The flavors were Carrot Cake, Red Devil and Baileys.  My favorites were the Carrot Cake and Red Devil.  I think it probably had something to do with the cream cheese in the frosting.  Yum!

Pacifico

Pacifico has been our beer of choice for this week.  This refreshing beer reminds me of a great day Gord and I spent together at a tropical paradise called Mismaloya. This beautiful beach is located just 25 minutes outside of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and is the place where I tried snorkelling for the 1st time.  

I've been thinking that perhaps another trip to PV may be in the cards in the near future?

These shiny new Chuck Taylor's belong to Michelle's guy, Jonathan.  

A couple of interesting facts about these funky sneaks include the following:

• they were first produced in 1917 as the "All-Star" as Converse's attempt to capture the basketball shoe market
• over 750 million pair have been sold worldwide 
• the shoe is quite popular in the sport of powerlifting, where the flat soles of the shoe make for a more stable base than normal style of sneakers

I believe it was a couple of weeks ago that Michelle told me about her experiment with food coloring & water.  Tonight was MY night to experiment and the outcome is what I'm calling "Michelle's Aura".  I'm hoping to see something titled "Elisha's Aura" on  Michelle's Blog soon.

Minneola Tangelo

According to the research I did the Minneola Tangelo is 1/2 grapefruit and 1/2 tangerine and was described as quite handsome and a pleasure to eat.  I have to agree with the handsome part, but a pleasure to eat?  I'm not so sure.  I found this orange to be just a wee bit too sour for my taste.
